Have You Ever…..

Have you ever had the opportunity to be in an art show with your children? Well I had the opportunity to share a booth with my daughter, Tisha Clinkenbeard, for the second year in a row at the 5th Annual Genny Wood Fine Art Show in Bullard, TX this past Saturday. What a beautiful day it was!

Tisha’s beautiful photography is in the background of this photo. Her work gives me inspiration for more work than I could ever complete!

My artwork is shown on the left of the photo. Twenty percent of all sales went to help the Mission House in Bullard, TX which serves over one hundred families a month. They also have a drive underway with the Frankston, TX VFW to collect toys or money for children’s Christmas presents. Before school begins each year the have a drive for school supplies to help the children in the Bullard, TX community.
The Mission House has grown from a storage closet in the First United Methodist Church of Bullard to the house that contains the food pantry and clothes closet. There is also a health clinic  because of the passionate love for children of one lady and her husband. Because of the two of them not giving up on what they believed was a calling from God the community of Bullard, TX is able to help families of the community.
This is the fifth year of the Genny Wood Fine Art Show and it gets better each year! If you are an artist and interested in joining the art show, usually the first Saturday in November, please contact me with your contact information and I will pass it on to the show coordinators.  It is held each year in conjunction with the city of Bullard, TX’s Red, White and Blue Festival to honor our local veterans. Thank all military personnel for the sacrifice you make for our freedom. Again thank you.
I hope you all have a blessed day! Until later….
Elizabeth Guthrie
