Guess what I have been exploring today, Sculpey clay! I thought I would try this medium with my colored pencil, my daughter’s photography along with a small black mat got me to thinking outside my comfort zone. I have to say if this comes out half the way I hope it will I will certainly get a picture of it posted! Today it took me about three hours to work the clay because I had a challenge with my hands and fingers being still enough to place the clay where I wanted it to be. But all in all I had lots of fun and concentrated on something new even if it doesn’t turn out the way I envisioned I will have taken something beneficial away.
This is what I am working on I hope you can tell what it looks like after baking. Now starts the other fun part; working on the Sculpey flower with my colored pencils!
I will tell you that this is not all I am working on at the present time I also have a portrait in graphite on the drawing table. Plus in a couple of weeks I am starting another drawing class with my favorite teacher, Maureen Killaby.
